Why Should I Attend The Dana Rader Golf School?

Golf Magazine has rated Dana Rader Golf School, a Golf Channel Academy, as one of the Top 25 Golf Schools in America and says that we are one of the very best in value. Our golf school is a state-of-the art instructional facility, nestled between the 1st hole and the 18th tee on The Ballantyne Hotel’s golf course. We combine the best in video technology with a team of award-winning LPGA and PGA instructors. Dana Rader and Julie Cole are consistently named “Best Teacher in America” (North Carolina) by Golf Digest Magazine and our staff has collected accolades as well. Our students report back that they have achieved lower scores as a direct result of our instruction. The programs have a low student/teacher ratio for personalized attention and provide the total golf experience – golf instruction, scheduled club fitting and repair, and access to a top rated 18 hole golf course–all on a resort setting.

What Is Your Teaching Philosophy?

Our philosophy is to coach new and experienced golfers on an individual basis with consideration for each person’s goals, playing abilities, and swing tendencies. We enhance overall player performance to make a difference where it counts, on the golf course. Our instructional staff uses the most up-to-date teaching techniques, technology, on-course instruction, club fitting, and fitness to develop our player’s overall game.

What Do You Recommend For A Beginning Golfer?

The best way to begin mastering the game of golf is to attend one of our New Golfer Programs:  New2Golf, Get Golf Ready, or Women’s Beginner. If you’re coming in from out of town, call us at 704-542-7635 to discuss enrolling in the Two-Day School, Three-Day School or Women’s Only Three-Day School, as all students are grouped by ability, with a student teacher ratio of 4:1. All of our new golfer programs are designed to teach you everything you’ll need to know to step onto a golf course and get out to play with confidence (includes the basics of the swing, putting, chipping and pitching, rules and etiquette). You will be guided by trained PGA and LPGA Professionals who will make sure you have fun each step of the way. The follow up (co-ed) course, new for 2016, is New Golfer Next Step.

What Do You Recommend For An Intermediate Or Advanced Golfer?

We recommend our Two-Day School, Three-Day School or Women’s Only Three-Day School and Annual Instructional Programs. If you are local to Charlotte, consider the Annual Instructional Program. They are specifically designed to help you achieve your goals throughout the year.
