About Us

Ballantyne Golf Academy, a Golf Channel Academy, is committed to growing the game of golf through its core curriculum of golf programs.

Under the direction of Founder and Principal Dana Rader, who is ranked by Golf Digest as the 2015-2016 #1 teacher in North Carolina, (shown center) the Acadmey’s philosophy is based on building the fundamentals for a repeatable golf swing and lasting results. Students benefit from proactive communication, effective education and training aids and a personalized practice plan that addresses specific goals.

In addition to its convenient location on an 18-hole championship golf course, the Academy features a premier training facility with 20 spot private range, covered hitting bays, indoor training room, three practice greens and a greenside bunker. Ballantyne Golf Academy also offers the industry’s top rated V-1 Pro Video Software Analysis and online swing analysis, with an iPhone app. Scheduled custom club fitting/repair services with Zelocity Radar and FlightScope® further reinforce the Academy’s ability to provide the best training to its students.

The Academy offers full programs for golfers of all skills and ages, complemented by a comprehensive facility designed with the student in mind. With its personal teaching approach, low student-teacher ratio and web-based video technology, the School builds relationships for a “Lifetime of Better Golf.”
